As the summer harvest season races against the clock, smart drying secures a bumper harvest. Recently, the Suiping County Jinshahe Agricultural Service Center — a project with a total investment of RMB 520 million — was officially completed and put into operation, laying a solid foundation for securing the summer grain into state storage across southern Henan. The center's core drying equipment was entirely custom-fitted by Zhengzhou Wangu Machinery Co., Ltd., featuring 3 sets of 1,000 T/D heat pump grain drying towers, forming an ultra-strong daily drying capacity of 5,000 tonnes, which fully covers the grain processing needs of tens of thousands of mu (acres) of surrounding farmland, safeguarding a bountiful summer harvest with the power of technology.
It is reported that the Suiping County Jinshahe Agricultural Service Center is a key agriculture-related livelihood project at the local level, integrating grain purchase, storage, drying, and processing in one. From groundbreaking to official commissioning, the project took only 105 days — an efficient construction pace paired with high-quality supporting equipment, embodying the acceleration of agricultural modernization in Henan. As the core equipment of the project, the commissioning of Zhengzhou Wangu's three 1,000 TPD heat pump drying towers provides key support for the project's large-scale, intelligent, and green grain processing operations.
In terms of technology and process, the Wangu heat pump drying equipment adopts advanced low-temperature heat pump drying technology, overturning the traditional high-temperature drying mode. The drying temperature is scientifically controllable, and through the intelligent process of segmented drying and tempering (conditioning), wheat is dewatered uniformly. Compared with conventional drying methods, this technology not only significantly improves drying efficiency but also effectively prevents problems such as grain cracking (split kernels), breakage, and scorching, maximally preserving the original nutrients and quality of the wheat and safeguarding the commodity value of the dried grain — truly delivering the dual benefit of efficient drying plus quality enhancement and loss reduction.
Meanwhile, the equipment is fitted with Wangu's self-developed intelligent control system, supporting real-time monitoring and fully automatic adjustment of grain moisture content and ambient temperature/humidity. It can precisely adapt to the drying needs of high-moisture wheat at the dough/ripe stage, and perfectly cope with changeable weather during the wheat harvest season, including overcast, rain, and intense sunlight. The system fundamentally resolves the pain points of the traditional wheat harvest period — insufficient drying-ground space, grain's susceptibility to mildew, and harvest progress constraints — helping ordinary farmers, large-scale grain growers, and family farms achieve early harvest, early planting, and early management of wheat, effectively avoiding grain losses and firmly safeguarding farming income.
Green and low-carbon performance is another major highlight of this drying equipment. The Zhengzhou Wangu heat pump drying tower is powered by electricity as its heat source, with zero dust, exhaust gas, or solid waste emissions — clean, environmentally friendly, energy-saving, and consumption-reducing — fully aligning with the green development philosophy of modern agriculture. The three sets of equipment operate in coordinated, stable fashion, and the large-scale capacity can readily handle the peak pressure of centralized summer grain market supply, substantially boosting the region's post-harvest grain processing capacity.
A project leader of the Henan Jinshahe Agricultural Service Center stated that the entire Wangu drying equipment operates stably with a high degree of intelligence and excellent drying performance, thoroughly filling the regional gap in large-scale grain drying. Following commissioning, the project has effectively improved the full-chain grain service system in Suiping and the surrounding areas, injecting strong momentum into local food security and agricultural quality-and-efficiency enhancement.
